Funds have come in for the consult with the dr. in New York. We are leaving this week :) Praise the Lord. My girls participated in a read-a-thon for funds. Together they earned almost 1 month of treatment cost. Thank you girls! I love you XO

October 2010

I am back to updating again. We had a wonderful summer. The weather was pretty mild. Not much rain so our garden did not do so well. I did not go back to mexico for another treatment because I could not afford it. I did a treatment called Herceptin here. I tried it for 2 months every Wednesday. After 2 but I had a scan to see weather or not it was helpful and it was not. It shows cancer in several bones but not in any organs. Praise God!!!!
I have been speaking with a doctor in New York. I hope to be going there for 2 days in November. For 6 months treatment it is about 10,000.00. I know that if He wants me to go then He will make it happen. I will try to update more frequently.
For the most part I still feel great! Thank you Lord!!!

June and Back Home

I am back home and loving being here with my husband and children. Things at Oasis went well. My scan showed that 1 lump was gone. Praise God!!! The others are the same size. WE are headed in the right direction. May all the glory be to Him, who is able to do more than we can ask or imagine.
The dental work went well and I am very happy to have the mercury out of my mouth and the infected tooth! YUCKY!!!!
My treatment plan is to continue all of my Nutricuticals, diet, exercise. My doctor at Oasis wants me to return in about 6-8 weeks for more treatment. Which also means a lot more $$$. We will be in touch and determine my next visit and treatment based on my progress.
I am happy to say that all the Nutricuticals I take only cost around $400.00 a month. The previous estimate was $900. I did find a lot of them at Puritan's Pride. This saved me hundreds of dollars.
Thank you all again for your continued prayers and support. God is faithful and true!!!

I am at Oasis now. My father and I arrived yesterday (Sunday). There are a lot of the same people here last time that are here again and it is so nice to see them all. Last night a big group of us walked to a Mexican restaurant close by. It was my last night to have some good chips and salsa before I have a lot of dental work done today and tomorrow. The food was OK but the walk and fellowship was the best.
Today...... I have had blood drawn so far. I will meet with my doctor to discuss how things are progressing and find out what is next. I brought the disc for the scan I had done last week in Virginia. We will compare the two scans.
Please pray for strength!

May 2010

My flight was delayed in Cleveland because of storms. Only by about 40 minutes though. I get to Richmond airport and am going down the escalator and see my husband and all of my children. So Excited we all were to see each other. I imagine by an onlooker it was one of those long awaited reuniting. You know the ones that bring tears to your eyes just watching. It was great.
So we all arrive home late that night and the house was clean. James and the children did such a great job. A friend from church came over a few days before and did deep cleaning. We have a lot of iron in our water here and it stains our sinks, tub, toilet and shower a deep orange. She cleaned it All off. Wow, Amazing. Thank you so much Monica! It is so nice to be HOME!!!!
I leave again for 11 days on May 14Th. This trip will go by really quick. James is not able to go with me. Boo Hoo!!! But my Dad is going with me so that will be nice. We will have a great time.
I am getting some of my Nutricuticals from a place called Puritans Pride. This saved me tons of $. About $300.00 per month. My doctor said they are comparable to the ones their lab makes. I will continue to get the ones from them that I cannot get here in the USA. My total cost for Nutricuticals per month will be around 650.00 per month. It is a lot but it does help.
Financially speaking I have my return trip, airfare, 3 months worth of Nutricuticals and $2,000.00 of dental work paid for. God is so good. Thank you all so much! His love does endure forever. I will keep posting updates while gone.

Today I am leaving Oasis of Hope. My time here has been a time that has changed the rest of my life. I am very grateful for this time here, even though it was because of cancer. We always need to remember that "what is seen is temporary but, what is unseen is eternal". And that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
I have meet m any people here that I will remember and pray for, for the rest of my life. God is so good and His love does endure FOREVER!
Thank you all who helped make this happen for me. I am forever grateful. I am thanking God for the healing He has done and is continuing to do in my body.
I will continue to take all of the Nutricuticals I received from here recommended by my doctor for the next four weeks. My doctor also recommended one bone scan and CT scan back home before I come back here. Then I come back here for a 6 day treatment. And this time, Lord willing, James will be able to come with. It will be so good for him to be here and see everything that is done and takes place. It will help him to take more ownership of what happens here. So we need the finances for him to come back with me and the strength and overwhelming desire for my parents to take care of our children and farm when we are gone. That will be a lot of work for anyone.
My friend here, Mamie, and I walked over to the biological dentist yesterday. That was a very educational experience. The dentist sat with me in front of the computer and went over every single image/ photo of my mouth.Wow.... I have never seen so many views of my teeth. Our teeth health relates so much to the overall health of our body. for more info. about that you can visit his website at http://www.biologicaldent.com/ I have a lot of infection in my jaw bone in various places from old root canals. He recommended I have all the mercury removed and my root canal teeth removed also. Then I would have temp. bridges for a few months in place of my root canal teeth. Sounds expensive! I know much cheaper than America though. I will get the estimate in a few days. I do know that, if it the Lord's will for me to have all the dental work done He will once again miraculously provide. He is Jehovahjireh!
Trust God and let him handle the situation. Allow Him to guide and lead. Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lead not. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

March 13th

I am very grateful to all of you whom have contacted James and my children to find out how they are and if they needed anything. Thank you Shoemakers for bringing them your what has become "monthly" meal. They were very blessed by it and the children love the Frisbees. Thank you all so much for keeping my family in your prayers as I am gone.
I had a long treatment day today so I am tired. Tomorrow will be lighter. I did get all the prescriptions from my doctor, for my take home treatment, today and tomorrow I will find out the monthly cost.
God is so good ....I met a couple here and the husband had colorectal cancer and tomorrow he is going home healed............No more cancer after years of being very sick. Praise God! There are many miracles here. It is awesome to be able to see and be a part of God at work.

Update from Oasis of Hope

I received the results from the scan that was done on Thursday, today............There is no cancer in my bones, organs and no longer in my collar bones and sternum. Praise be to God!!!!!! I did still have some "hot" spots in my armpit and esophagus. May all the glory be unto HIM whom is for us and not against us.
My doctor recommended I see a biological dentist to have the mercury and root canals removed from my mouth. There is a lot of research regarding your teeth and your health, in my case cancer and thyroid issues. I went to a biological dentist across the street from where I am and will have an exam this week. It is much cheaper here than in the U.S.
Thank you all again for all of your prayers! They are working. James 5:16 says "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective".

Treatment

Treatment is going well. Tomorrow I have a heavy iv day. Last time it made me tired most of the day. I am very blessed. There are many people that have gone the conventional route and their cancer returned more aggressively and then there are people that the medical community gave up on. I am very grateful that I can get out of bed and walk/sit without constant pain. My heart and prayers go out to many here. There was a healing service last night and that was awesome! Every morning there is some time of Praise and Worship in the chapel. It does not seem like a hospital here. Not a day spa either though, but nice. The doctors are genuine and really care and know my specifics and ask me questions. They are great. I did have a scan this morning and one of my Doctors will review it with me tomorrow morning.
My Mom is here and will leave tomorrow and then my Sister will come and stay a few days with me. I am so happy that they can be here with me. Please pray that healing will manifest in my body. I know that He is My Healer! Thank you all again for your prayers and support. May you be blessed with Gods mercy that He has for you.

Oasis of Hope

I arrived here today at Oasis of Hope and this is a good place. They really do a lot of good things. I am so happy that the Lord led me here. Today I started a Nutricutical program (a bunch of things orally)-tomorrow I begin all of the I therapy, went to an hour lecture by one of the founding Drs., ate an awesome bkfst., lunch, and dinner. Laughter therapy calss (really good), tonite watched A Dvd by Rob Bill and then had a discussion about it. His videos really make you think. I have met a lot of wonderful people. Almost everyone, is here because the medical community gave up on them. Really sick people. I am very thankful that I feel great, can walk and sit without pain and have an appetite. A lot of miraculous testemonies. There is scripture on the walls throughout the hospital. It does not seem like a hospital, more like a hotel. All of the staff I have met is great. I met the doctor who is my physician, he took all of my medical history and paperwork. Before he walked out of my room he said we can help you here, gave me a big hug and said God bless you. I am in very good hands here.

IT IS HAPPENING!!

IT IS HAPPENING!!
Praise God!! The funds for the 12 day, 6 day cycle....$20,500.00 have all come in. My passport arrived alot earlier than said and my plane reservation has been made. I leave in a few days and head to San Diego then on Tues. I go to the Oasis of Hope in Baja. God is really amazing. He has laid the puzzle pieces and they are coming together. It is very exciting to be a part of. When I am at Oasis I will put up more posts of what is going on. Thank you all again for your prayers, thoughts and donations. Please pray for James and the children......I will be gone for 3 weeks. It will go by so quick though

Amazing God!

GOD is Amazing us!!!
Every day more funds are coming in, either via. the mail, bank acct., fundraisers........ God set the vision of the Oasis of Hope before us and He is faithful and providing. So far to date about $14,000 have been raised. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
I went and applied for my passport last week and should receive it in the mail in a week and a half. Looks like I will be leaving for Baja the beginning of April. WOW!!!!! Nothing is impossible for HIM! Than you all so much for your prayers, support and encouragement. You are making a difference.

I am thankful for you all and hope this email finds you enjoying His presence.
My sister set up a blog spot for me and I will send her updates and she will post them there for me. She will post the new one for me tonight.....Then you all can go there to get any/new updates. I think you may even be able to post there????? I am not very computer savvy.

Treatment Plan

I had a phone consult. with Dr. Francisco Cecena Wed. 3/10. He is with The Oasis of Hope. Oasis of Hope is what I would call "the cream of the crop". It is a cancer treatment center down in Baja CA. The cost is much $$$$$ but I know God will supply. The treatment option he's suggesting is the Integrative Regulatory Therapy with Vitamin C 2 Cycles $20,500 USD (1st cycle 12 days: $16,500 and 2nd cycle 6 days: $4,000 with 4 weeks in-between each cycle). It includes a lot more like....laetril, o-zone therapy, lymphatic drainage and massage, some other nutricuticals and a few other things. Like I said this is the cream of the crop and it has been proven to be very sucessful. I know this is what the Lord wants me to do. I have so much peace and am eager to get there soon. Greetings family and friends,
I am so happy that we "have a savior who does not shake his head in disgust at my weakness, but compassionately acts on my and your behalf instead." Think about that.........He acts on our behalf and is not disgusted by our weakness.....WOW, now that is awesome!!!!
I would confess with my mouth that I knew the Lord as Jehovah Rafa (Lord God Our Healer). Lately though, He has been showing me what that really means. Now I have it in my heart. HE is Jehovah Rafa, LORD GOD YOUR/MY HEALER. I know He is healing my body. I know I will be restored completely. I do not know how long it will take but I am thanking HIM for the healing He is doing. So please thank Him also. I hope you all can understand what I mean. Sometimes it is hard to convey everything in an email.
Jeremiah 33:3 says 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' Call to Him. He wants you to spend time with Him. He has so much to show and tell you.
I did get results back from both scans. And they both showed pretty much the same thing. So in the future if I find it necessary to have another scan I will choose to have the thermography. Various lymph-nodes are showing up inflamed. And that is what I am feeling on my chest and underarm. They are not metabolically active, which means that the cancer is encased. Praise God for that!
The risks outweigh the benefits for Tamoxifen. I will not be choosing that route, nor the other routes of surgery and chemo.
Through anonymous and non anonymous donations from some of you all.......I was and am able to have some labs done, thermography scan, Dr's. visits, and get back on some of the things I was on before and add some new ones also. So thank you all soooooo much. My heart goes out to all of you and I know that God is going to bless you too. Please know that you have blessed my family and I so much. Your prayers are greatly felt and heard also.
James is still unemployed. But that has truly been a blessing also. It has been very nice to have him home. The children and I all love it. Our plans are not God's plans! If we knew His plans for us most of us probably would not go. All our bills have been paid this month! On paper you can look and go how? But that's what is neat about God too because He is bigger than that. At this point we are living on FAITH like we have never had to before, But God is doing amazing things. And He is even allowing us to see some of it along the way.
Again, thank you all so much for your support, encouragement and loving on my family at this time. We are so blessed.

Hello family and friends,

We did get snow!!!!! Probably about 10 in. or so. The kiddos love it and it does look so pretty. Another way for God to show us how creative He is.

This Wed. @1pm EST I will have a scan. This will tell whether there is more cancer in my body and where it is. It takes about 1 week to receive any results.

Next week I will have the thermography scan. Doing these close together will give us the comparison between the two. God has blessed us with donations (some anonymous) to be able to do this scan too! Glory be to HIM.

I do want to say thank you soooooooo much to whomever (s) out there who have donated out of obedience and a giving heart to help us. God does use us for each other this way too. It is so hard though to be on the receiving side.

Thank you all for your prayers. I know God does love to hear His children speak to Him. And then when more people are praying and hear the work that He is doing He receives more glory. And He loves that. It is for His glory that we live. I am happy that James and I made the decision to tell you all about this because more of His children are speaking to him and He is answering your prayers. So please continue to speak to Him.

I pray that through this He will use my family and I to draw more people near to Him. I also pray that He will show you all even more of whom He is.
